SAVING SPECIES THROUGH THE POWER
OF PHOTOGRAPHY AND SCULPTURE
Joel Sartore, founder of the Photo Ark, has teamed up with sculptors for National Geographic Rip and Alison Caswell to pair photography with the fine art sculpture. These sculptures mirror his photographs from the Photo Ark, and reflect the portraits in a new medium: bronze.
Photo Ark will serve as an important record of each animal’s existence, and a powerful testament to the importance of saving them. Similarly, bronze artwork will exist for countless generations into the future, and these animals deserve their place in the world during the years to come.
